TToT the Wakefield Doctrine “How could you do this to us after everything we’ve done for you?”*

Welcome to the Wakefield Doctrine (the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers).

If you haven’t reoriented yet, let me lend you a hand. It’s Saturday and of course that means it’s time for the TToT, which hopefully helps with your orientation to time. Now let’s acclimate to person and place shall we? Clark is not in today, actually, he is over at rewritten and I (Zoe) am taking over the helm here in personality land. Why? You may ask… Well, there is a little vid somewhere within this post to explain just that. Until then let’s just pretend this isn’t happening, and I will do my best to fulfill my hostini duties to the TToT while staying true to Doctrinees…

  1. Doctrinistically speaking, I am incredibly grateful to the usual author of this here blog here. He saved my butt with “W” on the AtoZ Challenge.
  2. Although I haven’t consistently made it to the past few vid chats, I am grateful for the fact that they are there. I actually look forward to them now (which I’ve been told, if you know me, is saying something).
  3. It strikes me that in staying true to the Doctrine and it’s illustrious author, I should probably at the very least consult , if not actually access, the SBoR / BoSR** So I will say I am grateful for the opportunity to do so and …
  4. …for the seven lovely virgins (of BOTH genders) who guard said tomes.
  5. I have to work Saturday and am grateful that I have a really busy day planned. Work seems to go faster and more satisfactorily with an eventful day.
  6. I really like my job.
  7. In an effort not to be completely true to the Doctrine, I am going to take the advice of one of your favorite scotts and mine, Christine , who suggested when at a loss for more immediately pertinent TToT items, one can always remember the staples… Thanks, Christine!
  8. Looking at number 7 just invites the gratitude of indoor plumbing and washing machines. Although I seem to still reserve the right to complain about doing laundry as if I had to bang it out on a rock on the banks of the Ganges.
  9. Well if the format of this list didn’t convince you that Clark really IS over at rewritten today, this most certainly will… SKIP, I am always grateful for SKIP…
  10. For secret rule 7.3 subsection 3a, which states that when guest blogging as a paltry substitute for the original author of said blog, you may either suck it up and come up with enough items to complete the TToT …OR…hang your head in shame as you dance the dance of the seven guard virgins and make up some lame-O rule.

clarkscottroger About clarkscottroger
Well, what exactly do you want to know? Whether I am a clark or a scott or roger? If you have to ask, then you need to keep reading the Posts for two reasons: a)to get a clear enough understanding to be able to make the determination of which type I am and 2) to realize that by definition I am all three.* *which is true for you as well, all three...but mostly one

  2. That Clark person beat me to first, lol!! No seriously enjoy your busy Saturday and me just glad it is raining here and not snowing (you know I had to get a weather reference in somehow now!!). Happy weekend Clark and thanks as always for hosting :)

    • zoe says:

      IM SO CONFUSED!

      • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

you are?? how do you think I feel?*

*pure Doctrine magic… how do I ‘think’ I ‘feel’ god I love this Wakefield Doctrine lol

      Janine

lol (well if I can’t manage to get FRIST on my own blog? I would be a poor excuse for a blogger) I’m thinking that only way the (local) weather makes any sense it to set the calendar back 30 to 45 days…

  3. jny_jeanpretty says:

Jim said, “She seems nice” and I said, “Zoe?…She’s wonderful!” Very cool, guys!!!

  4. jny_jeanpretty says:

    and of course…CLARK!

  5. lrconsiderer says:

*SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE* *laughing her head off* OH ZOE!!!!!! This was EXQUISITE. I completely love just how very incredibly much but NOT QUITE exactly the same this was.

Actual FOR REAL giggles happening here. And a BIG HUGE GRIN! I hope you can picture them
    :D

  6. You are SO lucky to have a job you like! I am a slow learner but I think I’m starting to pick up on a few bits and pieces of the Secret Book of Rules after reading this, so I’m glad you’re standing in for Clark today (even though I love Clark too). Have a great week.

    • zoe says:

I was just saying that I love the core of my job but have to close myself off from the innate bureaucracy of it… Best to you too….you are heading back soon right!?

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

      Jen

thanks!!* that BoSRs is sort of like an un-published blog with, like a million Posts, that we can go and find and adapt and borrow from… very fun

      * apply to one or both of us, as appropriate!

  7. I have been disobedient about the secret book of rules! Will keep trying!!

  8. Sandy Ramsey says:

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!! This is such a fantastic idea! You did such a good job being Clark, truly! And the video was the perfect touch! BRAVO! Now I must Skip on over and see what is happening at rewritten (see what I did there? Skip? :))

  9. Sarah says:

Always like to hear someone loves his/her job. Isn’t that the best? I love that our parents never brought my husband or me up to work in a field for money instead of love. Just one less stress to deal with. Except in exchange you get the stress of being poor. Hmmmm…

  10. Kristi says:

Well done! Starting at the video, then through the list, and ending with the astericked explanations, you have done a good job of channeling Clark.

    • zoe says:

Me and Shirley Maclane… channellers both! Thanks Kristi! And Happy Anniversary!

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

      Kristi

“...a good job of channeling Clark.” (for the record), I will look at those words and feel…something positive! (lol strange, but not bad strange)

…am way, way behind on the Posts… hope to catch up tonight

  11. Denise says:

Zoe! Love your post today! A most excellent idea guesting at each other’s blogs. And I love that you had a hat on the dash:) That does beg the question however – you do not have a Wakefield Doctrine hat (for your damn head)? If this be true then I demand you be sent a hat immediately. If only for future guest vid posts lol
It looks lovely where you are in the Berkshires and if I were doing a TToT post today your vid would be number 1:)

    • zoe says:

While I do indeed have the Damned Head, I dont have the friggin hat!!!! And I fear the tank top revolution on the rise is not meant for the big girls… I do have to get a hat!!!!

Yeah, The Berkshires are lovely but I was watching the vid and realized how dead it is right now… it will be beautiful in a few more weeks.

      Thanks!!!

      • Denise says:

Not yet. But you will:) Then you can do another guest vid post right proper!
It’s still lovely even in stick form. As much as fall is my favorite season, spring is a strong runner up. I love watching the slow return to life after the starkness of winter –

  12. Loving what you do for a living is so important – when that isn’t true, it makes for sheer drudgery and malcontent. It’s no way to live. I am so happy that you like what you do! Probably makes it much easier to work on Saturday, no?
    Have a great week!

  13. Louise says:

Okay. This is just fun :)

  14. Yay for jobs we like. And hope your weekend went smashingly well.

  15. zoe says:

    Way fun to do…

  16. I love number 9. I miss the picture of Skip. He is so Hot. He really deserved the award. I meant to tell you that a few weeks ago. ;)

  17. Debbie says:

I think you did a good job standing in! Not an easy job to fill someone else’s boots. Enjoying your job is something to be thankful for as are washing machines, tumble driers and all other household appliances that make our lives easier. I’ll have to remember to make up rules when I get stuck!

PS – I like your style!

    • zoe says:

Thanks… especially the progenitor clark’s boots…He is a tough act to follow.

Rule number one is be ready to make up the rules!

  18. Yvonne says:

Nice to hear your voice. And it’s great that you enjoy your job and your washing machine!

    • zoe says:

who said I have a washing machine??? no really, who? HAHAHA… I adore it as much as I love skip and my job!

    • zoe says:

In terms of my voice I just realized you are in a position to agree with Lizzi that I have a helluvan accent!
