TToT the Wakefield Doctrine (of aetuzees, impulse Contests and, of course, the weather!*) (*aka getting to 1st base, sociability-wise speaking)

Welcome to the Wakefield Doctrine (the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers)

628x471-2

Two groups of people to be grateful for today. The Friends of the Doctrine who are participating in the A to Z Blog Challenge, ’cause we’ve been following their progress each day here at this blog, and Lizzi! (come on! you know any reasonable person will be tempted to count her as more than one.)

I.  People

  1. these here friends mentioned above, for providing a sounding-board and a ‘listening gallery’* as I practice to learn to write, the better for me to be able to tell people about this really cool personality thing
  2. Una, though not, in the strictest sense, a ‘person’, but, if General Mills and Walmart are considered ‘a person’ (in a certain legal sense), then I’ll not hesitate to refer to our chodsky pes as a person
  3. the imaginary friends that inhabit my memory, both real and probably-didn’t-exist, (at-least-not-like-General Mills)

II. Places

  1. where I live, photo on the ‘cover’  is from this writin’ place and provides my mind with, like one those pastel-swirly cloth backdrop things that photographers use?
  2. the Ocean,  for the obvious reasons (not the least of which is: providing me with an occupation, (at one time in my life), that produced some adventures that resulted in blog stories (at another time in my life)
  3. the inside of my head.

III. Things

  1. oddness
  2. certain things that are beyond question (much like the character of the worldview of rogers and scotts… for the former, it is that the world is a quantifiable place and that if everyone would work hard and understand that there is a Right Way to live and do things and relax and create traditions, then everything will be alright and, the latter, where life is to be lived….now!  not in the past and certainly not imagined in some future time….there is too much to do to waste time thinking and imagining or resenting and carrying grudges… hurry!
  3. the Book of Secret Rules (aka the Secret Book of Rules), the Contest of FRIST Comment, Christine’s insanely fun, stream-of-experience, ‘you-are-there’ vacation photography, the Seven GuardVirgins, (one of whom I’m pretty sure is beginning to show signs of weakening), Lizzi and Michelle presents, Friday Night vidchats! and the up-coming Turn Off Facebook for One Day….Day   04.14.14  join us (we won’t know until afterwards, of course, unless we meet at another social environment)

IV. the Wakefield Doctrine

  1. well, duh!  sine qua non, binyon!

Ok… quick re-cap of A-who-me?-to-Z

Lizzi:  nothing less than some kind of poetry…. and yet, how good is she?  I read and believe I get it!  damn!

zoe:   very cool Post today… like one of those surprises in the box of cereal  (from one of the more premium brands not one with those little plastic toys that are supposed to be put together without glue and never match up and are totally way smaller than the photo illustration on the upper left front corner of the box that was the reason you cajoled your mother into buying and if only she wouldn’t stand around and watch you with your much sought after toy, which you (now) realize really sucks and you’re embarrassed but you got to pretend or she might laugh, or worse, be disappointed in your disappointment  (is this thing on??!)  here read this

Jen-ay:   you want to know why/how much fun  scotts are??  go here and read all her a-z Posts

Dyanne:  (note…. our friend, the Missouri Miss, tends to run a little behind, postistically-speaking, here she is with a Post on Jesse James (the dead one, not the one who got to sleep with Sandra Bullock**)

(I’ll be back later in the day, this being a work day and such)

* probably not a ‘real’ word, but should be

** yeah, couldn’t help the visuals from ‘Speed’

clarkscottroger About clarkscottroger
Well, what exactly do you want to know? Whether I am a clark or a scott or roger? If you have to ask, then you need to keep reading the Posts for two reasons: a)to get a clear enough understanding to be able to make the determination of which type I am and 2) to realize that by definition I am all three.* *which is true for you as well, all three...but mostly one

Comments

  1. I have to apologize for not making it last night. Seriously, Friday nights in general are bad for me and I totally fell asleep (but of course) waiting for the girls to fall off. The next thing I knew it was around 2 am and I just turned over and went back to sleep. One of these days, I am going to make it to one of your video chats, I swear. But until then, just glad we are friends and wishing you the best weekend now :)

  2. And as Lizzi would say, boom! Santy kid struck again this morning with being first :)

  3. jny_jeanpretty says:

arrghhhhhh! SHE IS SO FAST AT FRIST!
are Scotts odd, O.D.D., or both??? and wasn’t Dyanne’s thing great?

    xox jehny

  4. zoe says:

Thanks for the cerealization (ha….get it….hahahaha…..crack myself up!) … At work …will return with something pseudo-intelligent to say… Thanks for the vid chat… the early part gave me some perspective even if you probably don’t remember it….thanks , Clark. see ya later. Z ~

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

fear of food! (actually fear of lack of food)….wait, let me get an example

(ok maybe I’m a clark and take things too seriously sometimes but someone out there tell me that this is not a horrible message to anyone watching under the age of 6 (or a roger))

      • zoe says:

you know how I feel about this one…. I was talking about the dog/roger-brother-in-law part of the conversation….how’s that for a pseudo-intelligent comment?…that’s what I promised earlier I think…. maybe I can/should improve on that later…still at work…nothing intelligent from me til at least 3…

        • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

          zoe

yeah, you can probably get a sense of why I have to avoid popular culture as much as possible (this rant being a bit of backsliding lol)

  5. Awesome, Clark!

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

      Michelle

sorry I got tired early and had to fall down just as you got to the ‘vidchat’ hopefully next Friday I will be able to stay up past 11 (local)

  6. yvonne says:

Nice post. Fun that your dog gets to be a person. And that I at first typed it wrong and wrote god. (My daughters have a book in which God is a dog!)
    I love the ocean too.
and I may be very dozy tonight, but I can’t see where the cover is that has the photo of the place where you live?
As for those doing the A- Z challenge – good luck to them all. I tried a 30/30 on Hubpages once and it was exhausting. I can’t remember how many posts I got to but it wasn’t 30, maybe 27.
    Wishing you a good weekend.

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

      Yvonne

the thumbnail on the post (on the landing page at the Doctrine) is a picture out the window this morning)

      dogs are so perfect lifeforms

  7. lrconsiderer says:

I am my own collective. I am the borg.

    I like this.

I liked the VidChat (I think we should get Kristi to take her meds BEFORE she shows up next time) and YAY! Ocean :)

  8. Jen @ Driftwood Gardens says:

Lizzi so totally counts as more than one. I didn’t know about the no Facebook day – I could really use a day without that life sucking demon. Hope you have a fantastic week.

  9. Sarah says:

I have had cause, of late, to explore the Comments options on Blogger and discovered that your comments, strangely enough, seem to be recognized as Spam over at Amycake… I am NOT saying I think they should be. I am here to apologize for not responding to them.

    • zoe says:

that happens to your comments at my place to clark not every one of them but probably a third of them wind up in my spam and I have to go retrieve them. I’ve gotten so used to it I just check regularly now.

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

yeah, ‘the blogger’ does seem to get into having ‘issues’…. especially after writing a totally killer Comment only to see it disappear! ayiiee

      • zoe says:

well, I could see why you would be discouraged by ‘the blogger,” as you do have commentationing down to a specific art!

  10. This looks like a fun bloggy party

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

very completely is! next Friday…. early Eastern evening, you should stop in! (vidchat, of course)

  11. Pretty sure a whole bunch of this post just went over my head!

  12. Thank you for the shout out, but I’d like to state, for the record, I am NOT LATE with my A to Z postings. I get them in on time! And only one time did I do it with only an hour to spare. I feel pressure from all those bloggers in India who are a day ahead of me, time-wise. They’re posting the next one before I’ve finished the last one – gahhhhhh!!!

I’m eagerly awaiting the Clark as Deep Sea Fisherman posts.

There’s a possibility I will be home next Friday evening.

  13. WHERE’S MY COMMENT? I JUST POSTED A COMMENT?

  14. This will be the third time I’ve tried to comment on here. Third time’s a charm, right…?

  15. Sandy Ramsey says:

Lizzi as her own group? Yes, I think so.
I love so much of this one – the imaginary friends, oddness, the inside of your head. I also had to laugh out loud at your comment about Dyanne’s Jesse James post (the dead one, not the one who got to sleep with Sandra Bullock).
Also, which one of the Seven is weakening….this could be very valuable information to have in the future….

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

      Sandy

… we were talking about the Seven yesterday afternoon (an impromptu vidchat) our Friend, Cyndi (pictimilitude.com) was the source of our realizing that ‘the Book’ was not simply something to be picked up and used without cost or effort…lol as Lizzi reminds us, you want to convince the GVirgins then you better be prepared to dance!

  16. dyannedillon says:

This is the FIFTH TIME I have tried to leave a comment here. WordPress hates me.

Thank you for the shout out, but for the record, I have NOT been late posting my daily A to Z post; why, one night, I posted it with an hour to spare!

Do you remember a tv show in the early days of Fox called “Inside Herman’s Head”? Yeah, that would be you.

  17. Kristi says:

Like Sandy, I enjoyed the imaginary friends comment, and I totally agree that Una counts as people. Growing up, my imaginary friends were mainly of the 4-legged variety. (It made the bus ride to 1st grade lots of fun in my mind, with dogs everywhere!) I suppose now I’ve confessed to relating to the oddness and inside my head thankfuls, too. :-)

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

      Kristi

dogs on the schoolbus??! how cool would that be! I would surely have enjoyed that! And as to people and canines? even before the internet (that place of non-corporeal, friends without physical bodies) dogs were clear examples of people are those things that there exists a relationship, a give and take, a trust and willingness to open ourselves (emotionally) to and receive the trust (with and of their lives)… yeah dogs can be people.

  18. Louise says:

A great mix of thankful this week. As for the A-Z challengers? I just bow down in awe. I don’t have it in me. I posted every day last week and wow it was tough. And that wasn’t even to theme!

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

      Louise

Completely agree! I have (for reasons not clear) decided to feature them in my Posts, which means a Post everyday… ayiiee!

      lol
