‘lighten-up Thursday’ the Wakefield Doctrine (“students of the Doctrine need to read Cyndi’s Comment on yesterday’s Post”)

Welcome to the Wakefield Doctrine (the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers)

the Joker

lets have a half day today!!

…. (but like it says in the subtitle…. you want to learn more about this here Doctrine here?  then go to yesterday’s Post and read them comments… the thing around here is that Comments are not just ‘hey love you Post…it made me laugh’, Comments around here, an awful high percentage of the time, are, in fact, a continuation of whatever it is I started to look at in the Post. The insights offered by Jean and roger and zoe and Lizzi and Denise and especially Cyndi  are extensions of the Post, including Kimberly (who we will give the courtesy of saying,  “yes this is fun and totally insightful, but once you start seeing the clarks and scotts and rogers in your life, we’re not going to guarantee that you can stop seeing them!”)

Medical Profession:

  1. Physician: roger (the more technical, the higher the probability …internist sure, oncologist? totally)
  2. Surgeon: scott it’s all, (pardon the expression), in the execution, scotts are way  and…
  3. the clarks?  GP and Medical Examiner  (yeah  we get that a lot).

Semi-public Service:

  1. Police: scotts (seriously, the job description is: prowl the streets (and I believe that they actually call them prowl cars), alone for the most part, find people who are doing wrong and chase them!!  with as much noise as possible and enough lights to win the ‘Christmas in Branson Yard Decoration Contest’) and, …and! capture and  do all sorts of things to the prey  (that’s right scott!  handcuffs!!! lol;
  2. Fire Fighters: rogers (protect the structures that house the herd, maintain the status quo…what was needs to remain what is… work in teams of similarly dressed professionals…. with really silly hats!)
  3. Librarians…  do I really need to continue?

Retail Sales:

  1. Grocery Store Manager: rogers because the system is the only way… lots of under-educated people, who kinda need the work and aren’t planning a career in Produce and Meat;
  2. Assistant Manager: scotts  hey this is a paycheck, that last job didn’t pan out and hey, it could happen to anyone…and the AM gets to gather up the shopping carts in the lot and make sure that unruly, un-slightly and or, ‘what-do-you-mean-you-won’t-go-out-with-me!?-you-think-you’re-too-good’ parking lot enforcement;
  3. cashier  clarks (well, I have this idea for a book and this is going to let me have a lot of time…and besides, my boy friends in a band and he said that they record company was just about read to sign them, but the rent money is needed to pay for a little more studio time.

Anyone?  Got a favorite Occupation??  (now, remember: ‘everyone does everything at one time or another’.  )

clarkscottroger About clarkscottroger
Well, what exactly do you want to know? Whether I am a clark or a scott or roger? If you have to ask, then you need to keep reading the Posts for two reasons: a)to get a clear enough understanding to be able to make the determination of which type I am and 2) to realize that by definition I am all three.* *which is true for you as well, all three...but mostly one

Comments

  1. Too funny! Have a great day! Stopping by from Bloppies!

  2. nailed it. clark!

  3. lrconsiderer says:

    YES! This is why I stare into people’s eyes all day – so I can come home and write.

    Actually, yesterday I wrote in my lunch break, for a competition, which I would ADORE to win, but won’t.

    And I’m stuck in the office all week this week and it’s DRIVING ME NUTS! I need PEOPLE. Even the Blogosphere seems flat at the moment because there’s just not enough going on.

    And I’m kinda almost back to wanting to delete everything, but I won’t.

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

      we have talked about the (multiple)forms of wanting to delete everything, right?

      peer group (not a cure, not even a shortcut to feeling ‘better’) but a benefit to our people to see other (clarks) going through the various stages of our reality cycle

      • lrconsiderer says:

        Got stuck at ‘Rejection’ (or is it? I don’t even know). Can’t pass Go! Can’t collect £200. I’ve been sent back to Old Kent Road *le sigh*

        • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

          (I have a feeling what I am doing next is either cool (rogerian) or dumb (…er rogerian? lol) but I will quote myself…from yesterday’s (Comment) Reply:

          I am glad that I know you and the other self-aware clarks, because as long as we don’t all hit the same phase at the same time (ayiieee! lol) then, as I descend into the abyss (for the nine fuckin millionth time) I can look and know that there are clarks out there (at the moment) not in the bad place. And this is how it must be for clarks…. we cannot be told this thing (and it’s awfully cool that as I talk to clarks about this, they, none of them, show the slightest inclination to go ‘hey! you shouldn’t feel like that because…’) But I can ‘witness’ that other clarks are in a good place at the moment and know that, since they have been in virtually the same horrifyingly toxic bad place that I might be headed to, they made it out… there is something to that, not hope per se… maybe it’s just having the alternative. Because the power of the abyss for clarks is found in the non-arguable nature of it’s reasoning (which we suspect is not reason but emotion…just fucked up and disguised and such) so to witness another clark is not to try to directly argue with the dark side (which, by definition, is impossible) but we see a hint of non-inevitability in the other clarks

          • lrconsiderer says:

            *jumps astride giant white horse (unicorn), dons golden armour and takes up fairy wand (other end sharpened to a spear)* TALLY HO! I’m off to find me a CLARK to study…

            wherefore art thou, my clark *sigh*

            • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

              it is good to find some local clarks, but remember where are skills are focused (hint: standing out in a crowd…er not) however, you will benefit both from the hunt and the observation

              helpful tips: talking to oneself (you or them… which is a trick to flush out the clark in the middle of a ‘room’ full of people, stable environement like an office or a library, while talking to yourself (slightly outloud) make a joke about talking to yourself… the one who laughs with you (slightly or outloud) is a clark

              hey!! Readers!! come on! Lizzi in on a Quest lets help a sista out here!! any suggestions?

  4. clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

    since the vids are appearing and we’re talking about identifying clarks in the wild… I totally would like to post my favorite illustration of a clarklike female (sure it’s a movie from the 70’s but tell me she’s not a clark!)

  5. This Scott was in Marketing. The best job was the one with variety, dazzling (bullsbitting) clients! I also did some data management and analytics, even Programming but Scotts don’t really love that jazz as you know.

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

      Joy

      I’ve seen scotts with a secondary rogerian aspect exhibit a ‘knack’ for things like programming, but you are totally correct, running and chasing and playing with prey is what life is all about for your people. lol

  6. Have a chance to comment for a second. The medical examiner thing. Ya know, I’m a pretty peace-loving-wanna-make-liquid sunshine kind of gal usually. But I was fascinated, UTTERLY fascinated when I took a forensic anthropology class right before I graduated from Colorado College. I LOVED it – the how’s and the why’s surrounding why people pass away…slightly morbid, but outweighed by my curiosity to “find the clues.”
    If I hadn’t latched on to languages right after that (and subsequently returned to school a few times (what can I say? I’m sort of an addict to the consumption of education…er…useful information)) I could have forayed into the realm of forensics. Alas, I didn’t know if I could have faith in humanity and keep my sanity investigating dead bodies all the time. You have no idea the paranoia I experienced when I was taking that class. Here I was, 21 and I was BEGGING my parents not to leave me home alone…

      Cyndi!

      Hey where is that site that I see when I ‘rollover’ your url?? never mind I squinted and got close to the screen, it’s ‘the ‘tude’ but that central ‘ad space’ in the url there is a ….very….healthy young lady (with suspenders and everything!!) and next to the photos is ‘Shocking Spanish Video’ lol you so have to call in tonight

  7. Dang. Maybe when I get tired of Spanish (because I get tired of all the things that interest me from time to time (a clark characteristic? Probably)), maybe I’ll do forensics. Now…lemme go look that up…programs…I hear there’s that forensic bone investigation farm not far from where I live…like 20 miles away!
