‘can’t-make-up-your-damn-mind Thursday’ …the Wakefield Doctrine ‘we did mention that we are in a bit of a transition stage, didn’t we?’

Welcome to the Wakefield Doctrine (the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers)

what? no, really! what?

what? no, really! what?

Several topics this morning:

  • developing a sense of how to effect a change in my presentation of the Doctrine vis-à-vis enhancing my secondary (scottian) and tertiary (rogerian) aspects
  • responding to Lizzi’s kind award of a Sunshine Award
  • a couple of music vids (I really will enjoy being surprised by who likes them) hell, I’ll put both at the bottom…if you hate the first don’t bother with the second lol
  • announce the Friday vid chat

Thanks to those who Commented on my somewhat-challenging posts earlier in the week, I am grateful. The one thing that I am certain of, at least at this ‘pre-start’ phase, is that my attempt to demonstrate the efficacy of the Wakefield Doctrine as a tool/ a means/a technique/a program for self-developing oneself is going to be interesting. and difficult. and embarrassing (for me, at times) and exhilarating (for me, at other, less frequent times) and totally damn worthwhile. While I cannot yet say, ‘see? see?!? it works!! look at the change in me that resulted from me doing the following: (insert whatever the hell I end up doing in the next few weeks*)‘. Should be fun.

(Item 2)

Your questions (if you choose to accept them) are as follows

1. What’s the last thing that made your stomach clench (in a good way)?
huh!  sorry, no way can answer that

2. How did you make someone’s day better today?
er…. (no! I am taking this seriously and I will answer your questions…it’s just that, well maybe if I revisit these questions after the aforementioned self-development project, I’ll have better answers)

3. Which (and why) do you practice; forgiveness or vengeance?
both… I strive to forgive and I resist  the delusion of vengeance (it’s a delusion in that it is my relationship with another person that I would be attacking, and that really has minimal effect on their actual selfs)

4. Which language(s) would you love to be fluent in?
the Wakefield Doctrine (we use the language/fluency  analogy a lot with the Doctrine)

5. What was the last song you fell in love with?
either one of the below, but maybe it should be lust instead of love? (you know…excitement high curve of enjoyment, repetition until exhaustion …yeah, I think I better stop now)

6. In what circumstances were you last out of control?
every fuckin day  (I work and I practice the belief that the only control is to dispel the notion of having control)

7. Describe the last thing you read which made you think “WOW!”
this Post  (and nearly every Post that I am willing to hit Publish on)

The answering of the above, conveys and… er  bestows?  on the Wakefield Doctrine the following medal/icon/award thing:

Award Sunshine 2

…you know, it’s not that I don’t pay attention to details but as I re-read Lizzi’s nominating Post, I realize that I have left out one of the requirements (of) receiving this here award here!  damn! now you’ll have to check back tomorrow when I provide the quirkiest of facts and I nominate some un-suspecting (but totally deserving bloggers)

(artículo tres)

Don’t forget!!  Tomorrow is Friday and that can only mean………………

the Wakefield Doctrine presents  ‘the Awesome Bloggers VidChat (doncherknow!!)’

(check your local listings for time and channel)

Finally some music that I fell in lust with yesterday evening…. though I admit, this morning I am looking around the metaphorical hotel room at the shambles the room is in and thinking… nice!

clarkscottroger About clarkscottroger
Well, what exactly do you want to know? Whether I am a clark or a scott or roger? If you have to ask, then you need to keep reading the Posts for two reasons: a)to get a clear enough understanding to be able to make the determination of which type I am and 2) to realize that by definition I am all three.* *which is true for you as well, all three...but mostly one

I confess I liked the artistry of the first vid but had to shut my speakers off as it was making my brain bleed…needless to say I didn’t play the second one…

  2. jny_jeanpretty says:

I didn’t listen to the songs yet but will. My son Jimmy is a rock star and really great. They are very popular.
I am A MAJOR LOVER OF SONGS AND MUSIC.
PS; you totally cracked me up with your # 6 answer!!!
Congratulations on this elegant award from delightful Lizzi
It couldn’t happen to a nicer person, you cray cray weirdo, you!!! Keep on keeping on!

    jehnyyy xox

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

      jen nay

…I will admit to (what I prefer to call) a rather eclectic taste in music, lol.

      * thank you…
      * thank you… I think I will now nominate the people I would pass on the award to… check today’s Post in about an hour (11:40am)

  3. jny_jeanpretty says:

Re: music vid:.Question: is this your id showing? Way to show your id!!! Impressive screaming and yelling around!!!.

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

damn! I that what that is? lol… the energy of the music totally trumps the specific choice of style of expressing (this energy)

      • jny_jeanpretty says:

I think that is what it is. OF COURSE THAT IS WHAT IT IS! hahaha!!!
Music expresses our deepest longings and at times expresses who we are at that moment.
If you have favourite music which has never lost its appeal to you, look at it carefully. Listen to it closely, and you will understand more about yourself that way! If you want to. But it isn’t the same as a cool Doctrine; it is more like … instrospection.

  4. Lizzi R says:

Beautifully thought out acceptance which really gave away impressively little :D

I like that my ears stopped bleeding once I turned the ‘music’ off :D

    Happy Thursday, Sunshine :D

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

      Lizzi
      lol

no! thank you… I will do my best to comply with the rules (of the awards)….(my rogerian aspects simply loves Rules) which means I’ve got tomorrow’s Post half written! plus, …plus!! a short, little vid Post!

(surely this Doctrine is good enough to enhance my rogerian aspect before tomorrow!)

    • zoe says:

I was trying to find a tactful way to express exactly what dear Lizzi has done so succinctly… how does one answer personal questions and reveal so little? You are a bright little bit o sunshine though aint cha?

      • zoe says:

I mean that last line quite sincerely of course… look below…even Christine is starting to emulate your asterixinglyness…(she used a little star thingy.)

      • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

        moi?

(funny about relative reality… I thought I was being somewhat open, more so than my ‘first impulse’), no wonder the Doctrine is destined to be such a hugely beneficial tool, that we come to understand that Lizzi (and you) are totally correct and I am also totally correct…with no un-resolvable conflicts!

        damn!

  5. christine says:

You are the first person I’ve ever seen make an award acceptance a two-day affair. Nice!

As for the music, I didn’t know the Tasmanian Devil* had a band.

*It is to exactly what the Tasmanian Devil sounds like. It is not a good sound.

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

      Christine

      except to another Tasmanian Devil!

picture my first date with our video’s singer…screaming sweet nothings into her metal encrusted ear… romantic days spent running (in slow motion) through bombed-out buildings… gazing into each other’s eyes…(guided by the light reflecting off her lip piercings)

      you know!

  6. Sandy Ramsey says:

Weird taste in ‘music’, buddy! That’s just crazy…

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

      Sandy

and the funny thing is, I’d not known of this group before last night, someone posted the first (of the two vids) and I clicked play and I was like… ‘damn! I like these guys’… in an effort to be musically clever on ‘the Facebook’ I wrote a Comment (under the vid), “sort of like thrash Evanescence!”

it is a fairly high-level clark characteristic to find the more outré segments of art/music/etc fun and interesting. As a matter of fact, I have a movie recommendation for you, that would be useful if you have not yet decided on what your predominant worldview is. The movie is ‘Slacker’ and it is by Richard Linklater, the cool thing is only one of the three (clarks scotts or rogers) will truly enjoy the film, one will not last more than 5 minutes before turning it off. (The movie is pretty PG, what will drive people from the room is not anything outrageous or offensive…it is family safe.)
Try and let us know what you thought/did/felt about the movie.

  7. findingninee says:

You can change your #2 because you made my day better today with your answers (#7 rocks) and some kickass new music I’ve never heard of. It’s not my Favorite favorite, but I like it. Will have to catch up on the week – school has been cancelled (on day three now) and I’ve done zilch in the world that is not considered IRL although we know it’s totally IRL.

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

      Kristi

that’s good to hear (#2) I read your snow Post… the grass showing through really has got to be annoying on this one… will have the vid chat tomorrow evening, stop by if you get the chance

  8. Watching the two vids – I lasted about 5 seconds each. LOL. It was like my nerves started grating inside the dendrites.
Anyways…you know what this post made me think of? A convo John and I had the other night: to be a clark, but to be a CONFIDENT clark is awesome. See, we were talking about all the “strange” people we know (including ourselves, HAHAH) and the people the are most interesting and whom we’re most likely to want to hang out with are the weird people who aren’t so weird you can’t relate, but have an air of confidence about them. Case in point: a couple years ago, John and I and some friends were hanging out at a brewery that had an outdoor patio. It was kind of late on a Saturday night and we met this guy named “Ivo.”
Ivo absolutely fascinated both of us. He had a red velvet sport coat on, a little white Pomeranian dog resting on his lap, holey jeans and old penny loafers and these purple glasses and some kind of driving cap. He told us how he’d never worked a real job a day in his life. When he was 16, he started going around collecting recycling and saved and saved and saved and eventually bought his first trailer with cash. And rented it. He did that over and over so that now, he has a bunch of trailers and lets everyone else pay his rent while he checks on them on occasion. He had so many stories like that. Such a clark he was…a confident one who really liked to entertain the crowd. As he told stories of his life, others gathered around. He just kept right on talking, oblivious to those gathering round him, but still wanting to share his story. And he hangs out at that brewery every Saturday night just about because we’ll see him when we ourselves go on Saturday nights…
I wanna be one of those clarks that’s utterly comfortable in her own skin. I’m getting there. Just not quite.

you have anticipated my thoughts (yeah, what a surprise)… I will be slightly mysterious and allude to something but not give details (yeah, another shocker)… will be on the vid chat tonight (7pm) and definitely on the Saturday Drive tomorrow… I will say openly that you totally make those calls what they are…

      ten four, Eleanor

  9. zoe says:

“I will be slightly mysterious and allude to something but not give details…” wtf… totally wouldn’t expect such passive aggressive behavior at the hands of the progenitor clark… progenitor roger maybe….
