3) Alright… relax  If one of you would please tell Christine and Dyanne that I stopped and promise to not do that again, I’d be so…. grateful

4) I am grateful that I have enough…. maturity? sense?…common sense?  to know when to quit on the excessive clarklike stuff, though I will defend to expulsion-from-the-group the right of anyone to go for the road less traveled on these here    TToT lists.

5) …glad that I could appreciate that ‘yesterday was Friday’… my work has, of late, attained the level of overload as to cause me to go through most days with a background feeling of falling behind no matter what I do, (what did the Red Queen say about having to run twice as fast to get somewhere’?)  yesterday had just a slight sense of… ‘hey, I’ve gotten a lot done!’

6) I am grateful that I have a workable explanation of why there does not seem to be enough hours in the day… it gives me something to shoot for (in terms of feeling like I can change that feeling)… space does not permit giving you the full explanation other than to say,  “we have all been out in our cars and found ourselves behind a car driven by a very old person (you know, all you can see is the top of their head and two hands on the steering wheel) and you see them put on the blinker for a right turn (Left Turn for Lizzi) and you know how the rest of this scene plays out….” Hold that thought, that ‘visual’ contains all the clues and information that you need in order to understand why there are not enough hours in the day for you…

7) I am grateful to Lizzi for providing a good example of how the Wakefield Doctrine really works… innocently enough (yeah, right) she said something about (one of) my Reply(s) having a ‘touch of the manipulative’. Her Comment lead me to (re)state my Reply: if the question is,”…are clarks manipulative?” the answer is, “… yes, they are!”  However, as I thought about it, I realized that the proper answer is, “since everyone does everything at one time or another’, your question, Lizzi, should be, ‘how does manipulation manifest in the worldview of a clark?’  the implication being that all three ‘personality types’ can exhibit the drive to (attempt) to manipulate their surroundings.  Thanks! Lizzi

8) I am totally grateful that there are Readers who are thinking, ‘Hey! wait a darn minute! don’t think we don’t know what you’re up to!’ ( …loved the boots, Christine.  Dyanne you know you were thinking that…. zoe, sorry, too late… even you can’t erase that first impulse of “he thinks he can get away with….”)

9) I was going to close my list with a return of the backwards thing that started this Post, but I decided not to (so I would venture that that is one of your gratitude items this weekend).

10) I am grateful to Lizzi. For being such a valued and contributional DownSpring… and on this particular weekend,  because she is embarking on a new adventure (the job, ya know). We here at the Wakefield Doctrine look at what she has accomplished(in the very short time we have known her)  and what she is accomplishing and can’t help feeling something akin to pride.  ( “Hey! you know Considerer?  yeah well she was one of the DownSprings that really helped the Doctrine move forward”)  We psyched to hear about what she can report back from the new environment… the Wakefield Doctrine will be all the better for it.

Thats it for this Saturday morning… off to work.

Oh!  quick programming note:  The Wakefield Doctrine Video Brunch tomorrow?  you will so not want to miss it!  We will be trying out my new phone’s capability to do live video on the google hangout…. So the Brunch will start a little later than usual 9:30  instead of the 9:00 am EDT  but we will be trying for Wakefield!  So  download your google hangout app…. and stay tuned tomorrow at 9:30 am EDT   Hey Melanie!!  Hope you make it Sunday!

clarkscottroger About clarkscottroger
Well, what exactly do you want to know? Whether I am a clark or a scott or roger? If you have to ask, then you need to keep reading the Posts for two reasons: a)to get a clear enough understanding to be able to make the determination of which type I am and 2) to realize that by definition I am all three.* *which is true for you as well, all three...but mostly one

WOW… I am sooo impressed! I can’t imagine how long it took to write that as I haven’t READ that slowly since grade school! yaw taht toidi na ma I ! I loved that! I am downloading my google hangout this am. I am supposed to meet up with some buddies in the a.m. but I can do brunch on the android right? I am MORE of an idiot THAT way… I am techno challenged at times. My last phone had a rotary dial.

    • zoe says:

OMG I totally just illustrated that last point and hit enter by accident. I loved your list this week as it kind of hits home … Yesterday someone suggested it was the time of year and past associations with return to school and the hectic pace of that time that makes most of us feel as though we are behind the 8 ball. No surprise he is an analyst and a professor. Hope you are feeling more caught up soon. Christine, I too loved the boots! Mine are not nearly as nice!

if your phone can handle google hangout, you’re all set! I will (try to figure out how to add you to the Wakefield Doctrine google+ circle so I can send out an invite in the morning)

      • zoe says:

Clark , I am beginning to believe myself hopeless with this stinking phone thing…. so tomorrow may be a wash as I need to be elsewhere at 9:30…May have to shoot for another time… sigh.

no problem, it is proving to a fun time and so we will be continuing (on Sunday mornings)… and I have a feeling we will be doing the drive-around thing, depending on how tomorrow goes..

  2. Well, having things backwards once in a while isn’t so bad,Clark! Have a great weekend now.

Clark, this was done with consummate style.

And I’m totally pissed as I’ve missed something about ‘boots’ along the way *sigh*

  4. Kari says:

I was tempted to skip over the backward stuff, but I resisted and read it anyway. Thank you for the brain-workout! :)

  5. I had no clue where you were going with this and I thought my eyes were deceiving me in the beginning, but then I got it!! Seriously, you gave my eyes a great workout this afternoon. Wishing you a Happy Saturday and weekend, too!! :)

  6. love your workable explanation as to why there never seem to be enough hours in the day … I’d been trying to work that one out for years! Glad to know you are happy and brave enough to keep stepping away from the norm :) and I like that you have three different personalities, Mr clarkscottroger (apropos of your ‘about’ section)… are you sure you have only three? I have about 17.

  7. christine says:

I am throwing in the towel on this one. I saw the backwards thing, thought, “Hell no is he doing this the entire post,” scrolled down to make sure, then read the post. Bad enough that you wrote backwards, but then you and Zoe start talking about my boots, and I have no idea what you are talking about. How ’bout you go back to working on your scott and give us a normal list next week?

    I’m kidding!

    Kinda.

No, really, what boots are you talking about?

And while I get stuck behind PLENTY of old people driving with their blinkers on, can’t say it has anything to do with why there aren’t enough hours. There aren’t enough hours because I have six kids, 30 chickens, 3 pigs, 2 dogs, a husband and a need for sleep.

    lol*

    * I wrote that backwards just for you. :)

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

      Christine

Isn’t it funny how some things take on a ‘value’ or significance that is not (intentionally) intended by the originator? (hey, if anyone around here has any questions about the ‘reality’ of personal reality, need look no further.

I will have to go and find where the boot thing started… I accept that I wrote a reference to it, …oh yeah! in my List! lol now I see!

as to the hours of the day thing… I suspect that this reference does not yet apply to you (delayed for lack of age and scottian worldview) but it has to do that, (for many of us) at a certain point we find that we are working harding on fewer things and still the time slips by, I will take a chance and say that you are not subject to that effect.

but you’re right! (coincidently I have gotten to the point of realizing that I need to get back to the business of the Doctrine)… comfort zone thing, you know? It’s kind of a cyclic thing with me… push the boundaries then get comfortable… and then (if I’m lucky) I remember that there is no comfortable and push again.

      • christine says:

I really was kidding about the getting back to scott lists. I do enjoy seeing all the different things you come up with when doing your lists each week.
No, I haven’t found that I work harder on fewer things (yet?). I work less hard on more things is more like it. :)

        • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

          christine

…as I might have implied (but being a clark, who can really tell?) I enjoy the ‘crazy list of 10 Things of Thankful’ but I am at the point of realizing that I have to find the least comfortable direction to move in (in terms of the Doctrine) and get going! lol
sounds like the ‘time speeding up effect has not hit you, which as I said, may be delayed (temporarily or permanently) in you as a scott, there will be plenty of time later to ‘splain it.

          …now about that business of ‘lock-in age’….lol

  8. Hexy says:

    My head hurts now :-(
I’m glad you didn’t continue the whole list like that

  9. Loved the mirror-writing – it brought me back to my childhood with my left-handed sister writing this way naturally, and us using it as a ‘secret’ code to keep things from mum. :)
It actually amazed me how quickly I got back into reading it!

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

      katy

glad you used that term! while I was not thinking of it in that sense, the most ‘satisfying’ thing about the Post was getting the photos right.

  10. Joell says:

I must say, I was glad to see the backwards typing end…My eyeballs were starting to bleed and my head was about to pop off my body! LOL! However, I must congratulate you on having the patience to do that…I probably would have given up after the first sentence. :-)

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

      Joell

lol me too. it was one of things that, in your head is all, “hey this will be fun!” and then actually doing it, not so much. Luckily it’s one of those things that only ‘work’ once!

lol… yeah.. thank god it’s over! It was fun and I like the workout, no… still getting the visits of course have no idea how many are sending email to the proper authorities to report that there is clearly something of a subversive nature going on over that Doctrine place! lol

Thanks for the most excellent call today. And best of luck to Lizzi for tomorrow – a big change for sure…
Thankful for you dude. The parts above the desk mostly tho.

  14. All right, my brain just went pfffft after getting all that translated. You win. I WILL NEVER ACCUSE YOU OF DOING SOMETHING NORMAL AGAIN.

  15. Kerry B says:

Ok so yeah I panicked when I started reading your list only because it took my lame brain too long to figure out you were writing backwards. Nothing better than feeling dumb just before heading into teach a computer course! Haha And yes I still need to understand your doctrine more but I will….I will because what I do get is hysterical.
I too love that Lizzi lady! And I liked how she used your doctrine in her TToT with examples haha she dumbed it down for me.
And lastly I will have to find your brunch and make some and pretend it is Sunday again! Mixing some of my favorite things- Sunday, brunch and reading!

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

      Kerry

Sorry of the panic thing… Christine and Dyanne will probably not let me do another backwards Post again in any event.. any question you may (about the Doctrine) ask away… the Brunch is a good place too in that it allows for real time conversations, questions and answers.. fun (three characteristic personal realities, Outsider/Predator/Herd (clarks, scotts and rogers)…learn the characteristics, observe the behavior and infer which of the 3 realities your subject is most likely experiencing… the rest will follow. (oh yeah! we all have one ‘predominate worldview’ but have the potential of the other two)… and it can be harder to determine your own predominant worldview than others, at least at first.
