FTSF-TWD-(ToCSR) ….yes, it’s also acronym Day!!! (oh, sorry, …it’s AD!)

Welcome to the Wakefield Doctrine (the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers)

Three Ages Giorgione (Giorgio Barbarelli da Castelfranco)

The (non-complete) Sentence Sistas1,234 speak!

The hardest part about my day is…”

I’d be more comfortable inferring the difficult part(s) by describing the easy parts. The reason is that, being the Wakefield Doctrine, I feel the need to address how each of the three personality types would respond to this question. (and) the reason I feel that need, is simply that it is a basic tenet of the Doctrine that we all possess the capability to experience the world from the perspective of the three worldviews. (We all live in one of the three worldviews, we are predominately clarks or scotts or rogers. We all retain the capability for the ‘other two’ and some of us have this capability to such an extent that it has an effect on our behavior and perception and actions (you know, our personalities!) we, call these our secondary and tertiary aspects. ex. I am a clark with a significant secondary scottian aspect and a minor rogerian aspect. Pretty simple, isn’t it?)

The (not) hardest part about my day (as a clark is…)

the morning. we like mornings, unless there is some scary thing that has to be done later in the day. we especially enjoy very early mornings…when only the birds and down-shifting trucks on the distant highway can be heard. we like, and therefore the most (not)hard part of the day is before the world/our ‘real’ lives is irrevocably defined…there is hope in the vague light of the dawn hours. we’ll get up way early just for a chance to let our plans out, un-hindered by the realities of the day. we like the morning, it’s the rest of the day that we would like to be different…

The (not) hardest part about my day (as a scott is…)

the night!!!!. we love the night, unless we are being chased by elements of our daytime world. the night and early evening is when everyone else begins to slow down and relax, (like antelope at the little clearing by a river that is otherwise inaccessible, (ya know?).  we spend the daytime actively working hard, finding new ways to get people to do more than they realize they can do, but! (as J. Hendrix sang), ‘when the day melts down into a sleepy red glow, thats when my desires start to show‘  Hey!!  the volume we are heard at may decrease at the end of the daytime hours, but our intensity so does not diminish… come on, lets skip the morning, spend the daytime getting ready and live for the night.  Hey!!

The (not) hardest part about my day (as a roger is…)

why the day (and some of the night). that’s kind of a limiting question, do you think? it’s not that it’s a bad idea! but the way you are framing the question leaves a (little) to be desired, you know? we enjoy each part of the day as what it is. we feel that you are putting un-necessarily arbitrary limits on your own question. during the daytime hours we are busy, a place for everything and idle hands are the devils workshops. the morning really is a time of appreciation for how much good there is in the world, you should try it. the day and late afternoons take care of themselves. the night, they’re fun too, but that’s none of your business. nice list.

Thanks to our friends for giving us a break from the week’s schedule to get out and read all your Posts and such

clarkscottroger About clarkscottroger
Well, what exactly do you want to know? Whether I am a clark or a scott or roger? If you have to ask, then you need to keep reading the Posts for two reasons: a)to get a clear enough understanding to be able to make the determination of which type I am and 2) to realize that by definition I am all three.* *which is true for you as well, all three...but mostly one

Comments

  1. I love seeing how each of the three personalities react to the different parts of the day. And yes my inner Scott seems to come to play on this one, because I hate the mornings and have alway been more of a night person even though I do still very much get up with the birds to get any thing accomplished around these parts, lol!! Thank you as always for linking up with us and hoping you have a wonderful weekend!! :)

      @Janine

      it’s funny about the different ‘feel’ of the times of day… I do enjoy the mornings can endure the day and allow myself to be surprised by the night. (Hey! there is a certain correspondance to my own predominant clark(morning), strong secondary scott and minimal tertiary roger!) Thanks for the Comment, I always enjoy hearing from you, (my) perspective shifts slightly**

      ** which is a good thing, of course

  2. Me inner clark sez that I love me mornings. Yup! LOL! Spot on here!!!

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

      @Michelle

      lol exactly…. you may lie awake dreaming of a well-ordered productive day (that is the purview of your rogerian worldview) but you enjoy the ‘at-the-moment-un-realized-productiveness-of-your-day’!

  3. That made me long for just a bit more Clark in me, to give me a different perspective on the morning… love the “not hardest” approach to this- in fact, I probably should have approached my post from a “What’s NOT hard in my day?” It would have been shorter, that’s for sure!
    (I just re-read that first line, and it sounds unbelievably inappropriate and obscene. But I am leaving it anyway, because I think it’s kind of funny.)

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

      @ Stephanie

      lol I agree (god bless the internet!) ( …note to self, one more scott identified! ) Hey, you (and your little friends Dawn and Kate and Janine) deserve total plaudits for this hop… it’s everything such a blog activity should: challenging to write, yet fun to exchange Comments and such.

  4. So is the scary thing that Clark has to do later in the day stuff like calling the dentist? Because that makes me like the morning better too. Sometimes Roger is a nut.

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

      @Kristi

      …sometimes??!!? lol

      hey, docTees are due mid next week. Is the email I see here the proper one to use to contact you?

  5. Considerer says:

    Way to turn it on its head! This was interesting. I *can* enjoy mornings but usually do not. I am through and through a scott in my attitude to the wonders and pleasures of night time. Mr. Hendrix has some wise and beautiful words to say about that.

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

      @Considerer
      lol ah the secondary scottian aspect… very complimentary in clarks

  6. Kristi Campbell says:

    Clark,
    got your email and will reply! :) YAY

  7. Kate Hall says:

    I’ve changed. I’m a clark when it comes to my best time of day, but I used to be a roger before kids. I treasure my morning time before breakfast. Breakfast sucks, but the time before that is awesome! :-)

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

      @Kate

      interesting… I was talking to the Progenitor roger about the idea that clarks like the morning, scotts the night and rogers the day, as we used the old ‘everyone does everything at one time or another’ approach to understanding the way (something) is for each of the three types, all with the idea of finding which one seems to fit the best (to ourselves).
      This topic came up because he (roger) said that he used to enjoy early mornings back when he used to be a re-enactor.* I suggested that both types enjoyed the peace and quiet of the early morning, but that it represented something entirely different to each. for a clark, the peace and quiet of the early morning is about ‘undefined potential’…’non-established responsibilities’ the day is a blank canvas. For a roger, this same peace and quiet emphasized the proper orderliness of the (coming day) that quiet represented the good of order… which of course is as overarching theme for those with the rogerian worldview.

      Good Comment

      *yeah, I know, a roger a re-enactor…well duh!

  8. Dana says:

    Hmm. I have to say I’m still reading about this theory of yours, and I’m thinking I am primarily a Roger. Figuring that out has been the hardest part of my day today!

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

      @Dana

      lol

      the trick is to try out what seems to fit, without concern with getting 100% alignment, as you have a secondary aspect that can, at time have you acting just like on of ‘the other two’… but the saying around here is that the characteristic of the three worldviews are reflections of how a person relates themselves to the world around them. So reading about the world of the Outsider or the Predator or the Herd Member…one will repeatedly come to the fore…and try it and see how it fits. Remember you can’t get this thing wrong! if you are a roger your will catch yourself looking for the order that (should in your reality) underlie all, if you are a scott, you may like order and organization but not as much as you love the chase, you love the thrill of having an audience and making them your own or you may find that the perspective of the Outsider has the most congruence with how you see the world most of the time…

      We will be having a more wide spread call in soon… we will still do the Saturday night call in but I am working with Cyndi and Considerer in getting the google+ to provide us with over the internet (aka no charge) communications stay tuned it’ll be fun

  9. Katia says:

    Well, up till now I thought I was a Clark but loving mornings? No way. I am with our funny friend Dana, settling this conflict is going to be the hardest part of my day!

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

      @Katia

      this is exactly why the blog format is so useful… getting input and impressions from people on scenaria and such, very beneficial as we try to find ways to express the Doctrine that is accessible to all who encounter it. As the present moment, anyone (of you guys) are the exceptional ones… having the basic flexibility of intellect and such.

  10. Hi, loved this post! According to this, I’m primarily a Clark. What fun! I’ve never been really clear as to what I am, in the sense that I never really seem to fit any standard description. This Doctrine is comfortable, it allows for second and third profiles as well! Great writing! See you!

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

      @Joan

      thanks… this one has been a ‘funny’ one for people. (Official Disclaimer: no worldview is intended for exact match, if you do have an exact match, you will already have your own xxx Doctrine*) But the thing I like the best about the Doctrine is that it allows for the influence of the secondary and tertiary aspects (the ‘other two worldviews’) and yet despite these influences the predominant worldview remains intact! So it is always about (which) of the three seems to resonate with the world as you experience it. We like to say, the Wakefield Doctrine is concerned with how ‘we related ourselves to the world around us’ not ‘how we relate to the world’

      * lol

    I think I’m beginning to understand how exactly these FTSF blog hops could be challenging (even more so when procrastinating close to the deadline. Depending on the question you have to come at it from multiple angles.

    Did you place in that video or does the blogging service add in it’s own video/ads? Either way… good song :) I love the White Stripes!

    Who heads the FTSF blog hop?

    Jak

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

      @Jak

      Videos on the Doctrine I put in (using the function in wordpress that lets me copy the ‘Share’ code on each song on the youtube)

      The FTSF is Janine and Kate and Stephanie and Dawn
