the Wakefield Doctrine…. ‘if you have not yet listened to a (Doctrine) video Post, this is probably not the one to start with…’

Welcome to the Wakefield Doctrine (the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers)

Very cool Saturday Night Drive last night! Ya shoulda been there!  Jennifer and Denise and Molly all called in! Very stimulating…

But you weren’t, (‘there’) but that’s ok.  (…’cept for Cyndi!  Cyndi yo!… we need you to call in next week, your name came up and we all agreed,  ‘hey, you know who would also get a lot out of this call?…  lol)

Anyway this is Sunday Morning Afternoon. And since we are getting back into the old rhythm of things, we’ll keep it short.  We’re  working hard on the Wakefield Doctrine 30 Minute Radio Hour (on BlogTalkRadio  Wednesday 4 pm EST) and while it still is more of a ‘live blog Post’  I thinking I’m about ready to learn how to handle Call ins and/or On Air Interviews.  So call in this week. Go ahead and let me know what you want to try (as far as on air… Q&A, Explanation, etc ) and bear with me and we’ll have some fun in front of (potentially) millions of people!

(If you haven’t had a chance to participate in one of our Saturday Night Drive Calls, here is an example of what we consider a good conversation:

we were talking about stress, or something related to stress and Molly made a statement to the effect that, “that what would happen to me in that situation is that I would yell, not scream
The rest of us instantly recognized the ‘potential’ in her statement, some said, “so which is which, a yell and a screamrogerian and scottian (aspects).
We all agreed, that in duress, the rogerian extreme is manifested as ‘yelling’ and in a scottian extreme it would be comprised by screaming. Molly further clarified her thought by saying, “it is necessary, when going off as a roger to maintain the voice as a yell, as the words that are being expressed at volume are the important part of the exercise”  (as opposed to) the scottian expression of a scream which is simply raw energy and verbal aggression.
I furthered the conversation with the Progenitor roger, he expanded the understanding of the difference of a yell and a scream, from the Doctrine perspective by saying, “it is critical that a roger maintain control on the yelling, because despite (or perhaps because of) the fact that excess emotion is being expressed, if the person loses control of the yell(ing), and it transforms into a scream, then  all will be lost
Succinctly put, for a roger to express an extreme of emotion, yelling is an act of control, but it remains still a message (the content of the yell) the volume serves merely to enhance the presentation. To allow the energy, the emotion to take over is to invite a descent into the (individual’s) scottian worldview, which  means that the roger loses all perspective.)

Did I tell you we have fun on these calls or what!

Anyway, we do have fun.

Well, what exactly do you want to know? Whether I am a clark or a scott or roger? If you have to ask, then you need to keep reading the Posts for two reasons: a)to get a clear enough understanding to be able to make the determination of which type I am and 2) to realize that by definition I am all three.* *which is true for you as well, all three...but mostly one

  1. Definitely sounded like a fun night and must tell you that Saturday nights around here are quiet, but in a good way. I finally caught up on my DVR and spent some much needed quality time with my hubby, too. That said truly happy that you had a good one, too and here is to a Happy Week as well!!

      @Janine

      That balance is such a challenge!… the internet (and blog writing) is a voracious thing… eats all your time if you let it, and real life is still the essential core. Have a good week, will catch up with you at the BB g.

    Okay, dammit. I PROMISE I will call. I’m totally forgetful so I’m putting it into my CALENDAR on my iPad. Haha. If it’s any consolation, I was having some friends over for dinner and ironic that you mention stress. It is STRESSFUL to host people. OMG…I was so nervous that I thought I was getting the flu after they left, but really, I just get a nervous tummy. I’m a mess. hahaha.

      @Cyndi

      We know exactly how you feel (at least the clarks do, the scotts and rogers who hang out here are good enough at the Doctrine to correctly guess, how you feel) lol

      no pressure, seriously but we did say last night, ‘you Cyndi is one of those that we come across, from time to time how gets this thing on their own… very cool

  3. I wonder if you’d be able to stream those calls on the Internet at all? (Or do you already do that?) Would love to listen in to a couple of these….sounds like a lot of fun, and very interesting :)
