Welcome to the Wakefield Doctrine (the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers)

You know…. there was a time, before they invented “cable tv” that the three major networks stopped running new episodes of TV shows on or about the end of May and did not start again until just a week or two after the school year started.* So, I was thinking, if it was good enough for me, what the hell makes you think you are better than me? huh? what?

So Re-runs it is!!  (some Classic Moments form the Saturday Night Drive Series!! )

*I totally remember that, if for no other reason than, the unfairness of it all! The better new shows were, in those days, run at 9pm  and on a school night the parental units insisted that sleep was more important than ‘the Man from U.N.C.L.E.’  (and people wonder why there is global warming, random mass shootings and (global) terrorism!!  “hey Mom! hey Dad!  they blew up another building full of people, way to go with the TV rules!”)

    Thanks for the Pleasantville reminder, the Saturday Night video reminder and……you know, there are people reading this blog who have no idea about the re-run thing. Scary isn’t it?

    What do you think? Mostly clarks calling in tomorrow night? Maybe a rogerian Texan or 2?
    (sorry, I got nuthin’ tonight. nuthin’)

      thats ok, ’cause I saw nothing wrong with your statement about tomorrow night, ’til I realized that tomorrow was Friday. (the Title to tomorrow’s Post was originally incorrect for a similar reason, in that case a matter of the lyric for Friday not making any sense for the Post… speaking of not making sense).

    Damn time displacement going on……could mean nothing or it could mean…..timelines shifting……but could be in the negative. Just because a shift may be in process does not guarantee a shift to a preferred “place”. Babbleonds.
    So. How about all those rogers in Pleasantville, eh? LOL
