HEY! (or how the scottian aspect is manifested in most clarks) the Wakefield Doctrine ( yeah, back to work, even if it *is* Friday)

Welcome to the Wakefield Doctrine ( the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers )

We want to thank ‘our Ms. Tea’, for the enjoyable break from the grind here at Doctrine U.1 Be sure to bookmark or follow or join or whatever the hell it is that people do to keep track of friends and others. Here at the Doctrine we put them on the blogroll (to the right there–> actually it says ‘Friends of the Doctrine’, but you know that we meant blogroll, right?) or we send them a Tee shirt or a hat, that way the next time I am on the road for a Doctrine Roadtrip, I will spot the shirt and run up and say, “The First Rule of…!”2

In any event, breaks over and we must push on in our efforts to explain the Wakefield Doctrine in ways and manners that makes understanding the Doctrine accessible to more and more people. Who, by your lack of a Doctrine shirt, means you! (Yes, you. There is no one behind you at your computer that we are talking to… we clearly are addressing you  and if you have not clicked off this page by now, then you are definitely the kind of Reader we want to hear from. Seriously. Comment. Call. I. will. stop. now.)

The Title of today’s Post alludes to the part of the Wakefield Doctrine that says, “…we are all born with the capability to experience the world as a clark (the worldview of the Outsider) or a scott (the reality of the Predator) or the roger (the quantifiable, world of social connectivity). At an early age we ‘settle into’ one of these three worldviews and develop our ‘personalities’ appropriately to the reality we are in, however we never lose the capacity to experience the world as the other two personality types. In fact, we look at these ‘other two’ as the secondary and tertiary aspects of an individual’s personality type. For example, I am a clark with a strong secondary scottian aspect and a weak tertiary rogerian aspect. DS#1 is a clark with a moderate secondary scottian and moderate tertiary rogerian aspect, Ms.AKH she a scott with a strong secondary clarklike aspect and a moderate tertiary rogerian aspect and Molly… a clark with a strong secondary rogerian aspect with a moderate scottian tertiary. Pretty simple, isn’t it”

Why the taxonomy? Mostly because everyone we meet finds the Wakefield Doctrine interesting and/or fun with an element of possible usefulness, but always encounters the ‘problem’ of not being sure if they are a clark or a scott or a roger because even though they are pretty sure they fit the description of one of the three, there are definitely times when they are one of the other two. Totally normal and above is the ‘reason’. A word of caution here! This ‘secondary and tertiary’ stuff is advanced Doctrine principles. It is not necessary to ‘get it’ to enjoy the Wakefield Doctrine. The bottom line is and always has been: try it out, you are mostly one of the three but this is art not science, so relax, have fun and watch your family and friends start to act like scotts and rogers and clarks before your very eyes!! (We have been told by Readers, that it gets a little spooky sometimes how, once they have the characteristics down enough to make a proper identification, the people they are watching totally stay in character. We reply, “Damn! that’s one hell of a Doctrine, non?”)

Kind of running out of time this am, will get back to the matter of the scottian aspects as manifested in the clarklike personality types tomorrow, which we all must mark on our calendars: ‘August 11 write a Comment and remind Steve that he needs to call in, damn it.’

( Lets enjoy the borrowed pleasure of the marginally illegal (hopefully), use of the following youtube video of Jimi Hendrix3)

1)  not it’s real name, there is no University operating under the name ‘Doctrine U’ or ‘Doctrine University’ or even the “Wakefield School of Understanding those crazy scotts and damn rogers” although you gots to admit it would be cool.

2)  little joke and reference to a most excellent movie

3) CONTEST!!! free Wakefield Doctrine Tea shirt to the Reader who correctly identifies Jimi’s personality type

clarkscottroger About clarkscottroger
Well, what exactly do you want to know? Whether I am a clark or a scott or roger? If you have to ask, then you need to keep reading the Posts for two reasons: a)to get a clear enough understanding to be able to make the determination of which type I am and 2) to realize that by definition I am all three.* *which is true for you as well, all three...but mostly one

  1. Jasmine Tea says:

    I think Jimi is a Clark :)

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

totally correct! he is a good example of how ‘exterior/public behavior’ can be misleading… it’s the eyes, there is, (if you look), a ‘focus’ to his eyes that is not quite on anything in the common reality/context and, even more telling, there is specific-to-clarks hint of fear/reserve.

‘cellent work, Jasmine! ..we totally will hope that you join us on a call one of these Saturday Nights. the Doctrine is moving forward not only ‘on it’s own, but more and more on the insights from you peoples, DownSprings and FOTDs and such.

Thank you for the Commentation. I see there is a Comment from the progenitor roger ( he’s alright, for a roger…lol) Shall I mail the Tee to the same address?

  2. Steve Crabtree says:

Hello brothers and sista’s of the WD. I WILL be calling this evening.

    Be prepared.

You may be amused, you may be in agony. You may LYAO. The Crab is Crawling and Calling.

Tonight’s the night, it’s gonna be alright, sing it Rod.

Ricky don’t lose that numba . . . Looking forward to speaking with Jasmine. We have a lot in common, I think.

  3. Downspring#1 says:

He did! The Crabman did call in to the Saturday Night Call in Show last night. Nice to have you on board Steve. This is one clark hoping you call in again.
Hey Jasmine!! Will you be calling in next Saturday? I for one always enjoy having another clark in the dashboard. Speaking of – where was Molly last night?!

  4. Jasmine Tea says:

Hey :) yes, same address for the t-shirt!

Sorry I missed the drive. I will try for next Saturday ;)

  5. clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

“yes, I believe that can be easily arranged”

damn this internet, there is no such thing as ‘identify that lyric’ contests anymore…but I will anyway… the rule is you can’t look it up and the prize… the prize is you get to host the Wakefield Doctrine Saturday Night Drive! ( …no the second prize in not run naked through the now-deserted-Olympic-Village-with-only-a-Doctrine-hat-on, very funny, roger)

I predict that the order of correct (without looking up) responses will be:

    Progenitor roger
    Jasmine
    Steve (possible tie with Jasmine)
    Ms. AKH
    DS#1
    our chodsky pes dog, Una
    Molly*

    …get set
    GO!

*lol, we love our Molly**, but on matters pertaining to popular culture…not so much
** heard from Molly and she told me that they all went Time Traveling on the weekend… to the Shores of the In-Land Sea… and… hey! there is today’s Topic!!

    **** thanks Molly!

  6. Are you sure you’re not Revisiting Highway 61? (“yes, I believe that can be easily done…”)

You know how anal I am about the correct way things are articulated, grammar, punctuation…. Oh, and correct vocabulary LMAO!!

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

      lol

damn! ( I think I might get away with citing another artist’s version in order to account for that wording?)

  7. clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

nah, I was wrong the song title is correct and the full line is:

“And Louie the King said let me think for a minute son
And he said yes I think it can be easily done
Just take everything down to Highway 61”

and in the spirit of full disclosure, I will provide my personal favorite rendition:

  8. Personally I prefer Bob Dylan.

    Let’s git ‘er done!!! lol
