if you remember only one thing about the Wakefield Doctrine today, it should be….

Welcome to the Wakefield Doctrine ( “...converting the world, one blog Post at a time!” )

the Wakefield Doctrine is for you, not for them …we experience one of three personal realities, that of the outsider, that of the predator or the reality of the member of the herd …everyone settles on one of these three at an early age and that becomes ‘reality’ …we never lose the capacity to live as the other two, but hardly ever notice …these three personal realities/worldviews? they are real as reality ever gets …when you think the other person is ignoring the obvious? they are in a reality where what you think is important may not even exist! …(that real) …clarks think, all the time …scotts act, with or without (preferably without) thinking first …rogers exist in a reality where there is a right way and a not-right way …scotts are mercurial and rogers are temperamental and clarks think they know what that means …if you want something done fast, call a scott …if you want something done right, call a roger …if you want something impossible done, call a clark scotts feed on rogers, rogers control scotts and clarks think that they would trade places with either (but that’s not really true)

(or) what we are trying to do with the Wakefield Doctrine is:

  • ..recognize the characteristics of each of the three personality types
  • …so that we can infer the reality in which the person (that we are observing) is experiencing
  • ….so that we can understand how they are likely to react to something that we might not even perceive
  • …..ultimately predict the behavior of the other person

(then again) the real purpose, in the sense of ‘what good does it do me to know about the Wakefield Doctrine?’

the Wakefield Doctrine will make a scott a better predator …allow rogers to know more and increase their certainty and (the Wakefield Doctrine) might even allow clarks to know that they have the answer they have been looking for and, unfortunately they have been asking questions for so long, they probably have forgotten how to accept an answer

try to remember these things …but if you still are wondering what the Wakefield Doctrine can do for you today, write a Comment and we will respond to you.

Well, what exactly do you want to know? Whether I am a clark or a scott or roger? If you have to ask, then you need to keep reading the Posts for two reasons: a)to get a clear enough understanding to be able to make the determination of which type I am and 2) to realize that by definition I am all three.* *which is true for you as well, all three...but mostly one

First thing…..the lead pic. Very, very helpful if you want to keep limber. I love doing that one (and variations thereof) :D

Anywho – this post. Today. How more explicit can one be? I mean, you might as well call this Post “the Wakefield Doctrine For Dummies” or “the Wakefield Doctrine Basics (an Introduction)”

Lest a roger read this and get put out (THAT statement has Doctrine written all over it, I think!) LOL, I do not use the “For Dummies” as a pejorative but rather as an encouragement for anyone and everyone to take a look at a life tool (the Doctrine) while at times challenging in it’s nuances, is nonetheless one of the most valuable tools you can have.
I cannot emphasize enough the value in sticking with this thing. One of the biggest payoffs for me in learning the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers is that it enables me to not only communicate better with the people in my day to day life but allows me to interact better with total strangers! I find that immensely cool.

Another huge benefit is simple validation. Of my own (damn) self and those around me. And, I have totally enjoyed meeting new people like Molly aka Seven Ravens and little miss Clairpeek of Sweedenland, both clarklike females coincidentally. And for one such as myself this has gone a long way – to be able to speak with and hear from and read about issues as faced by my people:) Who doesn’t enjoy a little self-validation now and again, eh?

Should I have been more scottian and just said: the Wakefield Doctrine is the only (self-help) tool you need.

point well made! you anticipated my thought of (a) useful coda to Today’s Post:

‘Did I miss any (things) to remember and/or take from our little personality theory’?

More scottian? How about just a simple Yes or No? (in reply to clarkscottroger’s question)
