Welcome to the Wakefield Doctrine ( the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers ).
For our new(er) Readers, the Miss Sullivan referred to in the Post Title is none other than Miss Janie Sullivan, a most charming and interesting literary-construct who graced these pages during the first year* of this blog. Often serving as comic-relief, sometimes there just to cut through the word-clutter, Janie (and her bff Britney and their pal, Jimmie) were students at Millard Fillmore High ( motto: “we’re the conflicted psycho-sexual constructs! Gooo Constructs!! “)
In any event, today we will present a photo from a very famous movie and discuss how the characters/people in the photo represent and illustrate the principles of the Wakefield Doctrine.
This being an ‘open book quiz’ ( …”that will be quite enough Jimmie!” ) I will start our discussion:
Damn!
Hey, look I know that I am the leading proponent of this here Doctrine here, and that I will always be willing to spend time exploring how the Wakefield Doctrine is a useful and helpful tool in understanding the behavior of others. (In the interest of full disclosure, I came across this clip from the Wizard of Oz in another blog site where the joke was: women fighting over shoes..)… But, but the instant I saw this photo, I knew I had found yet another example of the principles of the Wakefield Doctrine, plain as day. A scott and a roger fighting over a clark.
That is all I have to say. We will now open the discussion to Comment.
To further help, following is an example of a person (of the personality type) referred to as a clark

Glinda the good one – can she be more rogerian in her question: “are you a good witch or are you a bad witch”.
Are you with us or are you against us…..blah, blah blah. Makes the other 2 pretty obvious, eh?
lol
really! jeez the expression on her face in the photo is more than anyone needs to (recognize) the type…damn! (…even though we did), you can’t make this stuff up!
ya gotta love the scottian witch… (they couldn’t say it in the movies of the ’40s) but you know she is thinkin, ” yeah? well fuck you and the bubble you floated in on, bee yotch”
