Now for the fun part!

OK, you got the part about clarks, scotts and rogers. You are comfortable with the primary characteristics of each of the three. What are you waiting for?  Get on out there!!

Here is the best way, today when you are in a public place, look around…do you see any overly-animated people? Running/walking fast/vibrating in place? scotts
See that clique, that group of people that appear real friendly….see how they laugh after one of their group leaves?…roger
clarks?  damn, around here somewhere…usually won’t be obvious

clarkscottroger About clarkscottroger
Well, what exactly do you want to know? Whether I am a clark or a scott or roger? If you have to ask, then you need to keep reading the Posts for two reasons: a)to get a clear enough understanding to be able to make the determination of which type I am and 2) to realize that by definition I am all three.* *which is true for you as well, all three...but mostly one

Reading the theory of the Wakefield Doctrine, I’ve come to the conclusion that my husband is a Scott-Roger Hybrid, while I’m a Clark-Roger hybrid – I guess me meet in the Roger lane :)

Very good start! Seeing the predominant worldview ourselves is sometimes (somehow) more difficult than seeing it in another. My condolences, lol as a scott with a secondary rogerian aspect, the likelihood of him engaging in a serious discussion of the Doctrine is… well, lets say you will both have a laugh from his initial reaction to your ‘discovery’ (scotts are very good at ‘doing voices’ and acting out things for the humor value) but it won’t take long before a (metaphorical) ‘shiny object’ rolls across the floor or flashes outside the window and you will be on your own… but you’re used to that. lol
Now about your being a clark-roger hybrid. We use the term clark with a secondary rogerian aspect, and just because it is a different set of words, but in order to imply a certain dynamic. Having said that, I would ask that you let us know as you have more questions, your ‘type’ is not yet all that common around here. (Of the people who Comment, that is) we are learning more each day about the way that a secondary rogerian aspect manifests in a clark.
With much of what is happening here, new insights are turning up every week and, as with any other ‘theory’, when we think we have a new insight, we immediately go and ask everyone…just to see if it ‘resonates’

I always ‘warn’ people who are at this point in learning about the Wakefield Doctrine! It’s not too late to turn around (well, maybe a little late)… the more you learn about the three worldviews, the more you will recognize it in the people around you. The more you recognize it in the people around you, the more they will act like the Doctrine predicts they will act…even if they have never come near this here blog here! Then, the next thing you know, you can’t not see them! lol

Hey. we have a call in tonight (as we do every Saturday night) and we might have a Video brunch tomorrow morning. Let me know if that sounds interesting…

I’m sitting here laughing, as everything you’ve described about a Scott-Rogers is my Bob to a ‘T’ – his funny voices are famous in these parts, he can’t tell a story unless he’s acting out all the parts (we tied his hands up once, and he couldn’t talk! Lol), and serious is rarely a part of his vocabulary – and keeping him to one subject is nigh on impossible! But he was also a keen hunter over the years, and still loves going out and tracking for fun :)
In many ways I’m Bob’s opposite. I think deeply about something before I make a decision, I’m very much a homebody, and books are my total, avid, passion! I do love to be part of a group, but I’m just as happy with my own company, unlike Bob, who thrives on it :)
I guess, in the 30 years we’ve been together, we’ve been perfect counterparts to each other, with certain aspects of our personalities meshing nicely enough to be the port in life’s storm for each other :)

He is indeed sounding like a scott (did we mention temperament: mercurial? passionate very active…)

You have moved along quicker than many, but now the difficult part! Your description could fit a clark or a roger…so this is a good time for one of the more important ‘working concepts’ here at the Doctrine!

‘everyone does everything at one time or another’ the meaning and purpose of this statement is to remind us that it (the tool of the Doctrine) is about ‘how the person relates themselves to the world around them’. Example: people will say “hey my cousin is a firefighter..that sounds like a clarklike profession” or “isn’t that something that scotts always do?” The is ‘no!’ it all depends on how the person does or ‘manifests’ (the preferred word) the job, the activity, the interest…whatever.
So take the job of a firefighter… how would a clark ‘look’ doing that job or a scott or a roger all three would do the job with equal proficiency but with an entirely different ‘approach’… and for that we go back to the description of the three worldviews: the Outsider, the Predator or the Herd Member.

using yourself as an example: “...I think deeply about something before I make a decision, I’m very much a homebody, and books are my total, avid, passion! I do love to be part of a group, but I’m just as happy with my own company…” we start with the first step: eliminate the 1 that there is no way…lol not a scott! Now you have to consider the clark and the roger…often a difficult distinction. But not so difficult when you know the worldview of each. as an Outsider a clark loves books because, consciously or not you are looking for the answer… your curiosity is never-ending but it is for a purpose, to find out what everyone else (in your world) seem to know…after all you are living the reality of the Outsider…it isn’t just what you do! it’s what you are.
as a roger you love books because you can share in the membership of the people who are in the books, the people who wrote the books, the people who edited, produced and criticized the book. It is a recognition (of other people that you have some sort of relationship with) not a discovery of the unknown!

A lot all at once…but you are doing quite well…
